24 November at 10:00 until 25 November at 18:00

Ongoing series of Acting Classes with Giles Foreman, an expert Acting Coach and Drama Teacher from London England.

The purpose of this series is to help actors develop their acting instrument through regular training in a small group. Giles Foreman combines Method acting techniques from Lee Strasberg, Stella Adler, Meisner and Susan Batson (amongst others) in order to give actors the tools to create characters and expand our acting range. In addition he incorporates theory from movement psychology to te
ach students how to physically express the characters they play.

The biggest challenge for any actor is to develop his ability to be “private in public”. This allows the viewer to sympathize with him in a real way, to follow him for two or three hours and feel like he really knows the character.

So the actor, in his acting classes, must give up his mask and blockings. The process never ends. It is fundamental for the artist to always excel and get rid of his defences one by one. This enables him to find ways to create profound and sophisticated characters.

Another challenge for the actor is to develop his instincts and his ability to rely on them and act accordingly. This is the art of leaving oneself alone to give a unique interpretation of a character.

The goal is to have participants attend the whole series in order to fully benefit from the ongoing training, building towards a showcase at the end in which each student will be given the opportunity to put their learning into practice.

COST: For those committing to the series the cost will be 250 Euros per weekend. To attend individual workshops the cost will be 275 Euros per weekend.

CANCELLATION: You must cancel via email no later than 7 days prior to the start of a course. If you cancel within 7 days of the course, a 100 Euro fee will be deducted from your refund as a cancellation fee.

In order to be able to bring in experts such as Giles Foreman for a group of only 10 participants, we need to have a full course each time to cover our costs.

Invoices will be sent out separately prior to each workshop.

If you have signed up for the series but are unable to attend a workshop, please inform us as soon as possible so that we can fill your spot. You will not be charged for workshops if you give written notice.
