It was hard work, a whole weekend in fact, with a lot of bedraggled looking faces after endless hours of filming but the results were well worth it.

Local band Birdbones had their very first video clip filmed back in April for their recent single release “Every single one of us” at the skate park in Merl.

Local film company FEIERBLUMM Productions, responsible for the video clip, was faced with a challenging task as the majority of the video was filmed backwards, or rather some elements filmed normally and others in reverse.

Deborah Lehnen, the band’s singer, had to juggle with walking backwards, singing backwards while still looking composed and mystifying, holding her crystal ball.

Over 50 extras were invited to take part in protest scenes that feature in the video, complete with banners, balaclavas and smoke. Luxembourg police were also kind enough to lend a van and riot gear, which were used during filming.

Fast forward to the present, and after a long hard editing graft by Feierblumm, the final result was released and screened at a party in a packed and hot d:qliq bar on Sunday together with a live Birdbones concert.

It seems that everyone concerned with the video shooting was very pleased with the results, and so they should be. An arty dark slo-mo video that is mesmerising to watch. Certainly the delighted audience approved and demanded it be shown a second time.

The band are playing many gigs this year performing at Fete de la Musique no less than three times in as many locations. They will also be at Rock um Knuedler and e-Lake this year. For full information visit their website: www.birdbones.com

FEIERBLUMM Productions a.s.b.l.

The film company describes themselves as a “Luxembourg based platform by and for artists taking their first steps in the fields of creative filmmaking and other forms of art”. Indeed they have an impressive array of films under their belt: Feature films, short films, video clips, documentaries and more. For more information visit their website: www.feierblumm.com
