“We believe Radar is a state of mind.” That’s the bold phrase that Luxembourg’s newly launched film production company proudly announced, as part of what it plans to be a different approach to a film and music company, “fighting mediocrity“ as Radar puts it.

The celebration and launch of Radar took place at Exit07 on Monday night together with much Crémant consumption and the screening of several Radar productions including two premieres.

Radar has been in the making now for some time, and is the creation of five local guys all passionate about the film and music business: Ben Andrews, Fred Neuen, Tim Lecomte, Fred Baus and Patrick Wilwert. Together they combine a blend of film and music talents with the creation of Radar.

To a full house two premieres were screened; “Summer Shadows”, a beautifully poetic short film by Ben Andrews (above) followed by Fred Neuen’s “Bikini Blitzkrieg” in partnership with Re.Media, the complete opposite! A totally tongue-in-cheek trailer of a film that has not been made, with women in bikinis attacking Nazi robots (below) highly entertaining with amazing effects.

The two films just show the versatility and different styles the five Radar members are capable of.

Radar’s Facebook puts their strategy nicely, “In a world where everyone can produce pretty pictures, we believe that it’s the IDEA that makes the difference…”
