The 4th edition of the Discovery Zone, Luxembourg City Film Festival, will take place in Luxembourg-City from the 28th February until the 9th March 2014.

In collaboration with the 8th edition of European Short Pitch, which is organised by the European Youth Cinema Network NISI MASA, the following workshop will be held:

PITCH DISCOVERY, scriptwriting workshop, from the 4th until 6th March 2014

European Short Pitch is an event combining a script rewriting workshop based on the pitch technique and a coproduction forum, making it possible to build bridges between professionals and young European creation, ensuring promotion of films across broader Europe.

In 2014, Luxembourg will host the coproduction forum from the 28th of February to the 2nd of March 2014.

As a follow-up of this event, PITCH DISCOVERY will focus on pitch as a rewriting principle.

What is specific about this technique? What are the pitfalls?

The fundamental notions of dramaturgy will be addressed during the 3-day free of charge workshop.

For this workshop, the festival is looking for:

10 young screenwriters from the Greater Region (Luxemburg, France, Belgium, Germany) between 18 and 30 currently writing a short film project

Besides one-on-one meetings to get feedback, group work will be emphasised in order to analyse each script in depth. The workshop will end on a pitching session of the revised script.

The workshop will be run by Jérôme Nunes, scriptwriter, filmmaker and co-organiser of European Short Pitch and Frédéric Zeimet, scriptwriter.

Working languages: English, French, German, and Luxemburgish

When?
