The documentary film month starts on Saturday in the Centre National de l’Audiovisuel in Dudelange, the event lasts 2 weeks and this year’s theme is travel.
The documentary film month kicks off tomorrow in Dudelange for the second year running, the event is the occasion to screen different documentaries around the theme «nice trip-étrange périple».

The film festival revolves around the notion of holiday and travel that involves a geographical shift. The journey is always conclusive for the characters in some way.

The program for this edition gathers some well-known directors such as Agnès Varda, Joris Ivens, Johan van der Keuken or Jonas Mekas among others. There will also be some of the industry’s newcomers like Marie Voignier or Miguel Gomes who will take part in a debate with the audience after the screening of their film.

Marie Voignier’s movie Hinterland won the Prix des Médiathèques award at the International Documentary Film in Marseille this year. Miguel Gomes’ 2nd film, Ce cher mois d’août was screened in international festivals, including Cannes in 2008 and has received several awards.
