Luxembourg’s very first Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Convention takes place in Tétange this weekend.

Organised by the Science Fiction & Fantasy Society Luxembourg, LuxCon is the very first Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Convention to take place in the Grand Duchy.
The programme includes discussions and presentations, such as the Saturday afternoon panel on “The fantastic film in Luxembourg” featuring Lëtzebuerger Filmpräis winner Julien Becker (whose 22:22 short film will also be screened at the event), “no budget” film director Patrick Ernzer, LuxCon organiser Gérard Kraus and European Federation of Fantastic Film Festivals delegate Romain Roll.
A Reading Room will play host to readings by authors such as Peadar Ó Guilín and Sandra Baumgärtner as well as screenings, a space for role playing and demos as well as a retro-gaming area featuring vintage video consoles and arcade games. The event will also play host to a Cosplay contest.
Most importantly, perhaps, LuxCon is an event at which like-minded people can gather, exchange ideas and information and get to meet fellow fans of the genres.
The event opens at 10 a.m. on both days and continues through to 1 a.m. on Saturday and 6 p.m. on Sunday.
