Two Luxembourg Films set for Berlin Film Festival

Two Luxembourg co-productions, “Dernier Etage Gauche Gauche” and “Mein Bester Feind” are to be screened at the prestigious Berlin Film Festival.

Dernier Etage Gauche Gauche is co-produced by Nicolas Steil of Iris Productions and was filmed mainly in the Grand Duchy, therefore involving a substantial participation of local technicians, including Uli Simon (costumes), Fabienne Adam (makeup), Christina Schaffer (set) and Gast Waltzing (music score). It is being screened in the Panorama section for new films from both established and new directors.

Mein Bester Feind is a film by Austrian Wolfgang Murnberger and co-produced by Jani Thiltges of Samsa Films, starring Moritz Bleibtreu, Georg Friedrich  and Ursula Strauss. It wiull have its world premier in the official programme, but out of competition.

Young Luxembourg director and screenwriter Eric Lamhene has been selected to attend the Berlinale Talent Campus which brings together around 350 young artists in the audiovisual industry for six days of seminars and round-table discussions with renowned experts and various aspects of performing, script writing, film music, sets, etc.

Young Luxembourg actress, Vicky Krieps, has a role in a German film by Andreas Veiel, to be screened during the festival.
