   Author Russo sold the story to a producer named Tom Fox who hired Dan O’Bannon to rewrite the story and direct. I don’t know about a “guy who almost directed ROTLD”.

   Leatherface’s first name is never mentioned in the original movie, however, his name in the 2003 remake is Thomas.

   The second film of our double feature is of course “The Return of the Living Dead”, directed by Dan O’Bannon, who took over after Tobe Hooper left to shoot “Lifeforce”. Tobe Hooper’s reputation rests on “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”, who’s infamous chainsaw swinging villain is known as “Leatherface” – who’s civilian name Thomas Brown Hewitt, as Vincent quite rightly stated, was never mentioned until Marcus Nispel remade the movie in 2003.

   Wikipedia virtuosos Vincent and Stephan will get in for free, all the rest: get out your make-up gear!
