European Short Pitch 2014

The European Short Pitch is coming to Luxembourg once again!

In January the writers of 23 carefully selected short film projects (among them two from Luxembourg) met in Bratislava for an intensive workshop with five distinguished tutors. After three more months spent honing their scripts, they are now ready to present their projects at a one-day pitching session in front of over 40 producers and financiers from all over Europe.

The pitching session will take place on March 1st from 9h00 to 15h30 at the Auditorium of the Cerlce Cité in co-operation with the Discovery Zone film festival. At 18h45 the three best pitches will be awarded a prize, followed by a screening of previous ESP short films and a cocktail at the Cercle Cité. For those taking part in the Luc Dardenne masterclass please note that the second part of the ESP will start after the masterclass, so you won’t have to miss either.

Luxembourgish producers interested in attending the pitching session should contact Jérôme Nunes (jerome@nisimasa.com), please include a photo and a bio/filmography of yourself and your company.

Please also note that on February 28th, from 17h00 to 19h00 there will be a round table discussion at the Auditorium Cité in the form of a case study on European short film coproduction. Norbert Laporte of the Film Fund Luxembourg will be present to clarify any questions concerning the specific case of Luxembourg in this context.
This table ronde is open to everyone and should be of particular interest to local filmmakers and producers interested in participating in a future ESP or in European short film production in general.
The table ronde is free of charge and will be moderated in English by Filmreakter’s Bernard Michaux.

A project book presenting all 23 short film can be viewed HERE,
and further info (in french) HERE.

This is a three-day workshop for writers between 18 and 30 years of age, tutored by Jérôme Nunes and Frédéric Zeimet. More information on this can be found HERE.
